Bathypterois grallator
Description of the model:
The model was produced for the special exhibition “Deep sea”. This exhibition is the result of the co-operation between the Natural History Museum Basel and the Natural History Museum Senckenberg, Frankfurt (Germany). The scientific model was done under supervision of Dr. Walter Etter (Natural History Museum Basel, Basel (CH).
The model is made of reinforced epoxy resin and coloured using non-fade colours.

Deep sea. The tripodfish waits there motionless for its prey, small arthropds and fish.
