Description of the model:
The model group of the ringed plover shows an adult male animal on a sandstone with a seperate chick. The models are also available individually.

The model is made of high-quality epoxy resin and is colored with UV-light-resistant acrylic paints and varnish. We use glass eyes on the adult bird, but not on the chick. On demand, the models can be mounted on a 12 mm thick support plate to ensure that the model stands securely. Covered with sand the plate will be invisible in the natural environment. Very practical for short-term placement on nature trails.

Habitat
Common ringed plovers are beach nesters that lay their eggs in small hollows in the sand or on the ground in an open area with little or no plant growth. Their populations are in sharp decline because their clutches are often destroyed by predators, floods and walkers.
Sources
The common ringed plover or ringed plover (Charadrius hiaticula) is a small wader that breeds across much of northern Eurasia, as well as Greenland. Its breeding habitat is open ground on beaches or flats across northern Eurosiberia and in Arctic northeast Canada. Some birds breed inland, and in western Europe they nest as far south as northern France.
