Habitat

It prefers grasslands, savannas, and sparsely wooded areas.[2]

The ball python is native to west Sub Saharan Africa from Senegal through Cameroon to Sudan and Uganda.[1]

The ball python (Python regius), also called the royal python, is a python species native to West and Central Africa, where it lives in grasslands, shrublands and open forests. The model shows a close-up of the scales, which is hard to feel on an original specimen.
