Habitat
In calm, plant-rich waters. It feeds on both plant and animal food (carrion).
Sources
Northern Hemisphere, in Europe not in the southern parts of the Mediterranean peninsulas.
Further Informations
The snail moves along a mucus trail and can even glide along the underside of the water surface.
